Anyone else have this problem?

Whenever I'm doing a bassline on my 60 and have "note off" or "mono" enabled under 16 Levels, I get this popping/clicking sound whenever I press the pads. It seems to only happen when I'm cutting off the sound midway or sometime before midway. If I let the sound fade out naturally and press another pad the popping/clicking sound isn't heard. Does this have anything to do with zero crossings or is it a problem with the machine itself?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

it is the stoping the sound not at a zero crossing, I've only experienced this once with a long sound. You could play with duration in step edit until you don't get the click, but a good long decay will also limit the loudness of the click. I think it is only certain samples that react this way. Note Off is the only mode I have experienced this with, mono should be easier.

Oh ok, I'm glad there isn't anything wrong with the machine.

I played with decay last night but it didn't do the trick. It's with long bass tones that I get the problem. I like using note off so that I can switch between long and short tones to add funkiness to the bassline but it doesn't appear that I can get a completely clean sound that way. Mono doesn't cause as much trouble but it also doesn't allow me the control when sequencing basslines either.

I'll try the step edit method you prescribed and see if that helps. Thanks.
