here is a schematic to control your pad sensitivity.
if they are worn down you don't have to buy expensive pad sensors.
just mod your mpc for a buck !

cool, i could design a board which has the options on it, then you have to solder out the resistors and put pin jacks in the holes. then you can put the resistors back in these holes or put the cables from the board into these holes, then youve got the option the fine trim the circuit how you like it.

I ll now do this mod.

cool! i just replaced R10 by an 5k Ohm Trimmer to control the trigger threshold of the pads, if it is set to low there is much double triggering (thats logical)... now i turned it higher untill I hat only very few double triggers and a very good sensitivity. I now can get louder very slowly and play with much more dynamic.

I think the double triggering can be reduced by two things, hitting the pad the right way and cleaning the pads + sensors because the dirt or the grease/fat from touching them while cleaning + warm temperature leads the pads to somekind of glue on the sensors so they take after the pads hits the sensor it somekind of takes the sensor with it a little untill it loosens again and snaps back which is the reason for the next trigger or so

I really recommend this very little modification because it is so easy, ( you dont have to take the pads out, just the board underneath) and you are able to quickly trim the pads, going further you can also install a potentiometer on the front next to the contrast mod so you can set it up while working on certain parts or so. sometimes double triggering can be used as effect etc.
