Peace everyone....

I'm new to the forum, but been an MPC 3000 owner since they were originally released. I've actually been ignorant to all of the do's and don'ts of the MPC and computer relations...

Sometime last year I backed up my MPC Floppies and Zips to my Mac. I did this so I can remake or utilize about 17 years worth of record collecting and sample hoarding in what I'm currently doing.... little did I know that this would destroy my life's work.

I'm able to load my MPC programs via my mac through CDXtract, Maschine, etc... but not on my MPC. I had to rename some of my .SND files in order for that to work on the computer. How can I repair it so that my .PMG's are loadable again? Also, How can I repair my .ALL Sequence files? AND how can I safely back up my files to my Mac from my other partitions? AND FINALLY... how can I have all of my partitions show up on to where I can see them on my Mac (safely).

I've researched this and found a lot of Windows solutions that I absolutely don't understand. (using Hex editors, etc...) I need a solution for Mac OS.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.... thanks ahead.

Most appreciated...again I'm only finding PC related solutions none for Mac. When I do find a mac related problem, someone suggests another Windows based solution. Trust me I'm not sleeping. <--- eyes wide open here. lol

If you still have the files, nothing is lost.

When you consider the options it may prove more cost effective to just buy a cheap $100.00 Windows PC or laptop for your studio.

This gives you access to a world of useful, easy to find PC programs that can ease your compatibility woes.
