My 3000 works about 90%, HOWEVER the REC, REC OVERDUB, PLAY, STOP, PLAY START buttons don't work when pressed. Everything else works, but I can't record sequences at all without these buttons.

I've searched the Forums and haven't found a similiar problem reported.

I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what might be the underlying malfunction that causes it?

Do a search for "tact switch" or "tact replacement"... should be a cheap fix if that is indeed what's up...

It is possible that all your lower transport row TACT switches are faulty. ( can happen over time with abuse, general wear and tear, etc )

However, you might have locked out the transport by accident.

Yes Rohan, that's it! I simply held down STOP and while doing this, pressed PLAY and viola... I pressed PLAY START and the joyous sound of my sequence played back beautifully!

Thank you for your insight, as I had no idea this MMC function existed. You really do learn something everyday.
