mpc 60 card reader problem

Hey fellas, just got onto these boards for first time in a while...i got a mpc60mkII the other day with an inbuild card SD card reader....but! as i have been loading my beats from an old zip drive and saving them to my SD card, when i load them each sample seems to load up with a jitter sounds sorta crackle crack noise...iv tryed a few things with no luck. if any one can help me out with some ideas or some advice it would be great cheeers Pabs

I'd guess that the samples on your Zip drive may have become corrupted.

Thats what it sounds like to me, but you can check it out somehow.

for some reason i can load off the zip drive any beat and its fine..its only when i save to the sd card and then re load off the sd card that it plays back the samples with the jitter sound.......i dont have a spare card to see if its that thats faulty?
any ideas around here?? or any one had any issues?

Well then it's got to be either the card-reader or the card itself.

At least your samples are safe on the Zip drive... for now.

You'd be well advised to back those samples up to your comp before you get the dreaded 'click of death'.
