MPC 3000 MIDI Question: Changing Banks On External Gear

sorry if this has been asked before.

i can only seem to use bank A on all my synths/drum machines.

banks B/C/D aren't accessible from the Main Screen. i'm sure you can do this i'm just not sure how.

You've moved the cursor directly over the letter (A) and pressed the buttons/moved the jogwheel right ?
This caught me out first time too.
