I think the configuration that galegatron described, using this interesting DB25-F to IDC50 ribbon cable in the photo above, only provides an internal SCSI connection.

That is how it seems from his description and parts in the photos, that possibly he only rerouted the external SCSI connector to the internal drive, and not back out to the external SCSI port.

Make sure you plan out exactly what you want to do, and how to do it, before buying parts like this.

Here is a listing of important threads relating to the installation of internal Compact Flash/ZIP drive. There is a number of ways to do this and peeps seem to disagree what the cleanest way to do it is.

Yes please someone post up tips and tricks on Valixi as the site is down. Would be dope for heads who has the OS.

Fuse values from page 21 of MPC3000 Schematic Diagrams and PC Boards manual, on the MPC3000 Power & Filter Schematic Diagram.

The letter code(s) (C,A / J / E,V,B,S), which indicate the primary destination(s) of the MPC3000, can be found on a stick on label above the AC power inlet/switch/supply on the rear/back edge of the faceplate.

I would guess yes, judging by the photos of it on the ArtMix/Stratos website, that you linked to above, showing the non-Vailixi format screen.

I just put the RazinMonster into mine a couple of days ago -painless installation and it works great! I am using a transcend 1gig 133x card and RS-16X to make programs on the computer and load them on the MPC. So far it's flawless.

for people who are interested in getting a cheep led backlit display for their mpc.
I made this picture here:
The picture shows the displays board ( ... g-syl.html ) from the backside.
The red marked pins must be disconnected with the soldering iron and something to pull them off.

the 10 pins on the left can be looked up in the service manual, actually you can you the original cable or just a new one.
It is to big for the original housing but i removed the glass of the display housing then it fits in with with space on the left and on the right side of the displays metal frame. I filled this up with a 3d printed plastic part. you can just take hotglue or so.

I am too lazy too give more information. it is a really easy hack but it too long for me to find the right display.
I tried also reverse engineering the original display ->catch the signal with an microcontroller -> and be able to send it to any display. but i am happy that there was a much easier solution and i can forgot these stressfull stuff.
