Is that ALL done on you MPC60? I think maybe making the bass a bit punchier would be better but it's still good. What is your record collection like?

thanks. i got like 15 crates of records. Ya, this beat was done on the fly, I got home, did it in like an hour. It's all done on the 60. I have alot of 80's and 90's hip hop, break beats, funk, disco, old rock, classical, everything man

Dam I got the shittest collection. I got like 100 hip-hop records but all new stuff, and about 40 old soul, funk, foreign stuff. But I ain't got any hand downs from my dad or nothin, i had to go shopping and find the stuff. But it's a start I guess.

Damn! You got that early 90s sound down to a science. Sounds real good. I like hearing semi-new acapellas over Favor Unit sounding beats, dope concept.

when you say u do this all on the 60. do you mean you sampled and chop up the 4 mins of vocals and assigned them on pads, then tempo matched with the beat tht you made? ( i take it you made the beat?)

ya, I feel ya, I know, the vocals are not on the 60, but my 1200's,which I had since 1988.

crusty and crisp...and the recording is from a tascam tape deck(analog).

I'll never be primo, madlib, but so what, If my head is bobbing, thats it, period. some "feel" it, some don't. My style is forming as I type, I'm "early 90's" my style is dated, and I could care less, Im old skool. It all started when I stopped listening to the radio a year ago. I go by my own sh*t. All I need is a 60, records, turntable and I am good. i love it, I am finding my style, thank GOD FOR THE 60, It's so Un f*cking believable!!!!! Those with 2000's 1000's etc that never f*cked with the 60, I seriously feel bad for, THIS IS A MACHINE, A TANK, A F*CKING LIFE SAVER.
