saving samples/ programs (all data) from external HDD to mac

hi.

has anyone a clue how i get my data from the external HDD to my mac? is there any cable available from scsi to usb?

i was already thinking to get a new hdd. but for me it makes more sense to back up my data.... any suggestions???

addition: i have a 3000 and an external harddisk, just for the info... maybe my 1st text wasn´t that clear.
