where to put this? i sell my [CLONED] mpc60 scsi board

I want to sell my scsi board for the 60. Sorry if this is the wrong place, i thought here are the people in the net who are concerned with the topic most.

Just wanted to leave a quick reply.

Installation was a breeze, I had to check the connections again because on power up the mpc entered LasVegas mode and was blinking like crazy.
After pressing all connectors firmly related to the scsi board, it worked!

For the record this SCSI interface was reverse engineered by flub, it is not an original.

Yes it does!
I have not yet tried to "hot-swap" the scsi drive...

i would not try hot swapping.

wouldnt that blow a fuse?

Probably... that is why I have not tried it yet...

there is no fuse, but I am also not sure if it will damage anything within the board.
the only part which is concerned is the big SCSI IC (L5380PC-2).
thats from the datasheet :

3. This device provides hard clamping
of transient undershoot and overshoot.
Input levels below ground or above VCC
will be clamped beginning at –0.6 V and
VCC + 0.6 V. The device can withstand
indefinite operation with inputs in the
range of –0.5 V to +7.0 V. Device operation
will not be adversely affected, however,
input current levels will be well in
excess of 100 mA.

I once put the scsi cable on after the mpc was powered and had no problems so far. Sure is that you have to start the mpc with an powered SCSI Device so the MPC setups the SCSI Option.

Hot swap is not essential, it's an MPC60, your lucky to even get scsi storage.

Hell yeah. Respect the SCSI on a 20+ year old machine. I would follow the SCSI law to the T.

Ok so is this hot swapable afterall?

You can swap Zip disks but i dont know about swapping the devices when the machine is on. it might harm the board...
I think that swapping the same device would work, but makes no sense...
