Hello, mates.

I was looking thorugh several pages and ran through couple of youtube tutorials but couldn't figure out the damn thing. The thing is:

I want to play notes from microkorg keyboard and want them to be sequenced in the mpc. Only thing I managed to do is to play the microkorgs sounds on the mpc pads, but I want it to be the other way round. I have one midi cable. Do I need to have two and make the 'midi-handshake' or is it not needed?

I'm aware that this question could occur several times and I'm sorry if it's kind of dumb issue, but I've got completely no clue how to set this up.

Thanks in advance.

Midi handshake method.

Requires two midi cables.

Microkorg midi out to MPC midi in, note data is recorded in the MPC sequencer.

MPC midi out to Microkorg midi in, note data is sent to Microkorg to trigger its sounds (on one midi channel only at a time = a single patch).

Be aware of the Microkorgs monosynth sound engine.
