mpc 3000 and s-950

hi i have an mpc 3000 and i was wondering if an s-950 would be a good fit with it? or is this redundant cause the 3000 has that same sound already?

no, the mpc3000 does not have the same sound as an S950...

the 3000 is 16 bit, the 950 is 12 bit...

And if you got some records at your boys house or somethin, you can bring the 950 and sample some shit and save it, instead of borrowin the records, or bringin your 3000 over.

thanks for the replys guys. I have a couple questions; would this machine be good for 4 to 6 sec loops? i hear a lot people talk about only using it for drums. And this one is for those of you who have experience using it; How did you incorporate it or use it while you were making beats? did you use it for your drums and samples, or just drums, and vice versa? did you trigger the sample with an mpc ? im just curious in how you guys used it.

My current setup consists of a PC, Korg triton, and an mpc 3000. I only use my triton for the synth and nothing else. So i was thinking i can sell it and get a triton LE to keep those same sounds and with the extra money pick up an s-950 and perhaps a mic. Do you guys think i should do this?

If you really want to hear what an s950 can do listen to anything by FATBOY SLIM.His music might not be of your favorite genre but the guy can definately freak an Akai s950.Not to mention the fact that he does all of the sequencing on a 15 year old computer.
