MPC 3000 cf reader vs scsi hard drive

What's the preferred modern storage solution for an MPC 3000? Replace the floppy with a cf reader or just hook up a scsi hard drive?
And can someone point me to somewhere I could buy either of these?

CF reader. This way if you needed to, you could transfer to/from your computer. I got my 3000 CF reader on eBay. Last time I checked they still had some available. It was an external SCSI reader.....You can also make one, but it's getting more difficult to find the parts that you need. If you search on google for "mpc 3000 card reader'' you will get all sorts of information. Good luck!

I second the External CF Drive Solution. eBay will be your best bet for the whole drive or parts to build one.

The good thing with a hard drive is that you don't have to worry about compatibility of CF cards, which with the 3000 is an issue. Depending on what type of CF drive you have, can sometimes determine what CF cards like to work, and which ones don't.

The bad thing with it is that once you have filled the hard drive, you either need another one, or you need to delete some files to make room. And they aren't quite as 'Compact' as the CF drives and cards are.

But like said above, all the info is around here somewhere, You will just have to have a dig in the archives.
