load new sound from another zip who has 4 partitions

Yesterday i finally succeeded in loading a program + sounds into my mpc60 (MPC editor)...

But then, when my program was in the mpc, i wanted to add some more sounds via zip disk, but the disk - load function wouldn't work , cause the MPC didn't recognize the other zip disk again where the new sounds where at.. ( maybe because the new zip with those sounds i woanted to load had 4 partitions on it ??)

(the zip with the program on it was 1 partition, the other zip with extra sounds 4..could that be the problem ? )

The MPC can read far more partitions than that (around 30 or so I think ).
Sounds like your disk is corrupt or the drive is not reading properly.

The computer wont be able to read those partitions. If you want to make a disk readable by both the computer and the MPC you must format the disk using MPC editor. The downside to this is that you end up with only 1 30mb partition, no matter how big or small your media is.

i understand that, but the problem is:

you have loaded up a program and sounds from zip disk number 1 on a mpc60.

after a while you decide to add a few sounds on that program, but those sounds are somewhere on another zip disk, number 2 for example.

But... this other disk i once putted like 4 partitions on it.

the original zipdisk nummer 1 i used for loading up the program+snds , i formated in the pc, put the program + snds on it...and loaded it into the mpc60.

now i have the mpc 60 running...but i cannot load the other sounds from the disk number 2..cause the mpc won't update the disk, to read it has 4 partitions..

The number of partitions has nothing to do with it.

What happens when you go to the load page and press "select disk" (soft key 4) ?
Can you select another partition or what ?

And can you load stuff from the disk with 4 partitions if you haven't already loaded something else first ?

but i have tried that indeed, select disk, even turned the power off from the zip drive, make scsi active also...but still cannot load new sounds then into the mpc.

ow sorry, and yes, when i don't load that program at first, i can load the zip without any problems... he inmediately recognizes the 4 partitions and all the programs and sounds that are on the disk..
