MPC 60 questions

Hi! Im going to buy MPC 60, but first i've got some questions about it.

1. What format of audio files does the MPC 60 read?
2. Lets say i have 2 zip disk readers - one plugged to Mpc and one to pc. Do i transport them normally on the zip disk and to mpc, or do i need to do something else?
3. What is scsi marlon?

1. .snd files
2. You will need a software progam too. Which one depends on Mac or PC platform.
3. The Marion SCSI interface allows the use of internal or external SCSI devices (Zip drives, hard drives, compact flash drives) to save your work instead of floppy discs.

The software might only be required if you want to convert the .snd files to/from something usable on the computer such as .wav or .aif for example, or if you want to build/edit MPC program files on the computer.

If you only want to copy the files to/from the computer for backup or transfer purposes, software might not be required.

Also, not sure if the MPC formatted disk would be readable by recent versions of Windows (7/Vista/etc.), but the first MPC partition should show up on a Mac.

The MPC-SCSI option board was made for the MPC60 by synthesizer legend Tom Oberheim, his company at the time was called Marion Systems (named after his daughter). It allows SCSI devices to be used as storage for the MPC60. I think that he also produced and sold some OS versions for the MPC60, such as OS 2.14, which I suppose was made to support the MPC-SCSI option, not sure what other OS versions he made. He also made a 12 bit to 16 bit upgrade for the S900.
