I found a similar topic from a while back but never found an answer. Im going to attempt to repair a 3000 for a friend with this issue. The 3000 powers up but the screen is white. Its not in my posession at the moment so I cant provide any more details until I get into it. I know others have had this problem, I just want to get an idea of what it could be or where to start. Fortunately, I have my working 3000 I can use as a troubleshooting aid.

This is a common issue.

When the display is lost the most common causes are a either Power Supply issue or a blown fusing resistor on the CPU board (R8 - 33Ohm).

You'll need to take voltage readings at the power supply and on both sides of R8 to help isolate the fault.
