Elixir v4.01a for Akai MPC60

Hi Guys,

Here's the new software for Akai MPC60 & MPC60 II : Elixir V4.01a

New features :

- Time correct : 1/128 , 1/192 and 1/384 when timing correct is OFF

- 1/4, 1/4TRPLT, 1/64, 1/64TRPLT timing correct

- Swing function works for any time correct

- Samples can be edited / processed while the sequencer plays or records

- TRUNC SFT ST & END function

- COPY ZONE / SND function

- PROGRAM LOAD : clear entire sound memory before loading new PGM, SND or SET files.

MPC 3000 version in the works?

It's an hybrid between 3.10 for MPC60 and 3.50 for MPC3000

Looks like the features for the vailixi version for 60 that Rohan had handed out to a few ppl.

That being said, where/when will this be available?

And how much $?

That's not excatly a valixi for MPC60 because the 60 is different than the MPC3000.

Not same CPU...

The software storage on the 60 is not same size , 256kb is half size of the MPC3000 software size.

It's ready but I prefer to tell it will be avalaible in the next days.

Where? That's the question. I'm thinking about it.
I still don't know. Maybe a group buy to prevent piracy. Maybe ebay??

I don't want to run a company , invest (all my) time/too much money (that I don't have) and see copies on ebay next mounth.

Price is the other question , I don't want to charge a lot peoples who don't win money with music making and who making it only by passion for the fun.

It's tuff to avoid piracy, once ppl figured out how to take off the serial and name that Rohan put on their vailixi, it was game over.

This OS has been wanted for a while, probably on a smaller scale than vailixi, but us 60 users (all 12 of us!) have been waiting for this elusive OS/feature set to surface and become available for a while.

Even with all the talk and "controvercy" surrounding the vailixi rip off around here It doesn't seem to have translated to eBay and I don't think there have been any consequences or backlash from multiple sales of it..

Providing you are the creator of the OS you might want to put some legality to it to at least protect some of your hard work. I'm sure it will end up on the bay at some point. If not, at least put some text in the start screen to mark your territory or do like Rohan and go one step more to making it personalized to each user.. Not everyone knows how or has the time to re write that code.

Exactly what I thought, it was called Vimana 3.1x.

But at this point niether OS is available, unless you Wolfgang were a beta-tester for Vimana, or know somebody who was?

It seems odd that a total stranger should come out of the blue with this OS, when Rohan couldnt even get it fully finished and ready for market with all his experience. Wolfgang, has 'Elixir' been beta-tested by anyone other than yourself?

We need more details about yourself and how this was developed, you could be a genius or a pirate. With no information, nobody can tell.

How does timing correct at 1/384 work ?or more precisely what does it do ?

Is it possible to edit sequences while they play ?

A quick question. I've been using (still, lol) 2.10 on my 60. Will this give me all the features of the original upgraded 3.10 and then some with your added features?

I think this thread may need a FAQ post, which specifically addresses the origin/s of the source code and any compatibility concerns.

I can do serial number & name but this won't protect against piracy + it's a lot of reprograming work , so this will change the price.
