Hey,

Can anybody confirm that the original MPC 3000 pads are harder to pound (when Full Level is off) compared to the MPC 3000 LE?

I own both but I mainly use the LE and boxed up my original MPC 3000. Now that my LE is being tuned by Bruce Forat, I pulled out my original and noticed that the pads are more harder to play with Full Level off. It wasn't like this at all with my LE. My original MPC 3000 is mint, it was serviced by Bruce Forat and when I got it back, I put it back in its box. Now from what I understand from reading all the previous threads, this is normal but would like to confirm and double check with you guys. Thanks.

Here's an old thread and post I found mentioning a bit of it:

:D

Exactly the same components and parts make up the two machines, the only difference is the paint and that some 3k's don't come with the smpte chip.

If one of your units has better pads response, its nothing but pad condition.

Why not treat yourself to some new sensors?

My guess is, my original MPC 3000 is sooo mint, literally looks and feels like brand new in the box, that maybe the pads just need a beating and time to get use to. I never really dealt with the Full Level off until I started using the LE heavy. Thanks guys!
