Hello
I'm new in this forum, i read a lot on the mpc but don't find any answer for this problem...
i buy a mpc 3000 LE , change the os 3.11 to my valixi os (i buy it for my last mpc3000, it was not a LE)
then i active my external zip 100, format it, rec somes samples, everything is ok until i try to load my program from the zip.
there is a window open that write "ATTENTION"
if i try it another time, the mpc bug and i have to turn it off.
if i try to load only samples, i can load only one or two before the next one make my mpc bug: said there is no scsi recognise,
i can pass this bug if i select again my scsi disc, but then when i load it again, i have to turn it off cause my screen is freeze on the load sample mode and nothing happen.
i can load all sequence i want without problems from the zip.
i have to say scsi is unstable, sometime it can't be recognize i have to try to format it, when the format session recognize the zip, then it's ok.
i format my zip in hard format, when i try soft format nothing happen....
i try all type of partition (hybrid or mpc classic)
change the zip
change the scsi cable
try with floppy: everything ok
maybe there is some differences between classic mpc3K and the LE edition that's why my scsi is not so good.
maybe i forgot something?
can you help me please?
thanks a lot

Original and LE are both the same in that respect.
At the risk of telling you something you already know, did you make sure the zip drive is terminated? That can make the SCSI unstable.
Otherwise without opening up to check ribbon connectors and such I can't think of anything you haven't already tried right now :hmmm:

Thank you for having answered me,
if my zip is not terminated, my scsi can't be recognise by the mpc.
I am certain that the scsi works, I believe that the problem come only at the time of the load of samples.
Mpc re-knows samples in the zip, their size is the good one, so I believe that the problem do not come from the writing.
I wonder if this problem come from the OS or then from a bad connection inside the mpc ?

ps:i check the ribbon connection, but everything look good to me...
