Hi all,
let's say I got a load of ZIP disks that I need to prepare for my 3K. My 3K offers software and hardware low level formatting besides partitioning only, which is quite fast. Software low level formats take more than an hour before I get to the partitioning options. Hardware low level formats take 20mins or so, way faster.
My question is:
What benefit is there to both low level formats, what differentiates them from each other? Wouldn't it be sufficient to just partition the disks?
