my 3k does find scsi devices

hallo @ all

i gut a Problem with my 3K... I always get the same error message when I try to activate a scsi device. terminator is on
i can hear the zip/cf reader working wen the 3K is scanning but after sum sec. i get this error massage "no scsi device found .. make sure power is on scsi id bla bla bla... " [ff48:306/29/00]

the zip and my external cf reader works fine on my classic

I hope someone can help me.

ok... the os says me "this will take a while" ... but it more than 20 min in progress (the zip is working) is this ok ?

Have you got the Zip drive and CF reader working ?
If so what's your CF reader ? ( like is it SCSI ide bridge or what ? )

Software Low Level Format takes forever and a day, I always use Hardware format and havent had any problems.

the cf reader runns onley with my classic the 3K cant find it ...

after 2 hours i user the eject butter from the zip ... the 3k jumps to the partition option and all works fine

do you now way the 3k cant find the cf reader ?

the 3.50 chip is installed the bridge is sat up corecktly and the cf card is works to.

need the 3K other settings as the 2K ?

No.

It's not an exact science.

Try some different cards, some different drives maybe.
