I TRIED OUT A 2000XL AND I COULDNT HELP BUT FEEL THAT THE SEQUENCER WAS GARBAGE COMPARED TO THE 60 DOES ANYONE AGREE WITH ME?IT SOUNDS MUCH DIFFERENT AND OUT OF SYNC... TO HELL WITH WHAT A 2000XL SITE I READ THRU HAD TO SAY..."SEQUENCERS ON ALL MPCS ARE EXACTLY THE SAME"SO THAT BRINGS ME 2 THIS....

COULD I HOOK UP THE TWO AND HAVE THE MEMORY/FEATURES/16BIT/ETC OF A 2000XL AND THE SUPERIOR SEQUENCER OF THE 60? I KNOW THIS MAY SOUND STUPID BUT IF THIS WAS POSSIBLE ID BE QUICK TO GET A 2000XL AND HOOK IT UP TO MY 60...THOUGHTS ANYONE?

reading midicase i found it saying that they are all pretty much the same type of sequencer, differant OS's and sheyat but all of them are so close that hardly any ear could notice it even said..

anyways, i wanted to use my 3000 with my 60, cuz i love the 12bits on the drums, but its not worth the hassle to sequencing the 60 when im building tracks, if i want 12 bit drums i sample them and load into the 3k.. actually ima prolly sell my 60, cuz the 3000 isnt too far off from the 60 as it is....

so u might as well get a rackmount sampler if your lookin for more sample time or whatever, or buy/download kontakt and use your computer as a *dope* sampler

I agree. An MPC as a slave module is pretty much a waste of an MPC, and not a very good module at that. You can score an S2000 for <200 USD and have a much more powerful sampling engine than that. If you can find an S3000XL, all the better. Larger interface, more buttons, etc.

Here here, Rack sampler for the 16 bits. And I feel ya on the sequencer, I wouldn't call the XL garbage, it is a slight feel difference, but it probably has more to do with the panel layout being ass backwards than the actual sequencer functions. I love the sequencer on the 60.

Of course, this is expanded with the 3.10 that I'm talking about, so I love the 3K too, but the 60 with 3k softwware is just so tight!
