Just picked up a Boss RC505 and nothing like a good old midi communication failure to ruin the afternoon. Does anyone know what i need to do so I can press start/stop on the MPC 60 and get the Boss RC 505 to start/stop too, all in sync?? I have recorded a loop into the 505 and that plays when i manually press the start/stop button on the 505 but not via the 60s play (or any other pad)
The manual isnt that helpful and the one RC505 youtube tutorial is in German. Ive also limited experience in using the MPC60 with other midi devices.
The MPC is set -
Type - Midi
chn - 1D (midi is plugged into port 4)
Sync out - Midi Clock - Out D
The Boss RC505 is set up as -
Assign1 Switch = ON
Assign1 Source = SYNC START/STOP
Assign1 Src Mode = MOMENT
Assign1 Target = ALL START/STOP
Midi RX channel 1
Midi omni - on
midi tx channel - 1
midi sync - auto
midi sync src - midi
Press play and nothing.
Can anyone please please please help??
