nope. you pretty much get out what you put in. And, you can only use the effects on one "pad." The mpc 60 is a tank, the 303 is a toy in comparison. I mean, I love it cause you have crazy sampling time and 32 different banks. You can load sounds then turn it off and they will save to the chip automatically. I mean this thing is so light, I often sample by holding it on my lap when I sample from the records. The effect that I love is the isolation where you can bass up a track. I mean, this thing is so light and small but packs great sound and its so easy to put things in and out.
I love to midi it with the mpc cause of the sequencing. THE 303 has a sh*tty sequencer, dont even try to use it, its that bad. Use your mpc to sequence it.
You should get one, you wont believe how light it is. your keyboard that you type on weighs more.
