I'm thinking of buying an mpc 60

I already have the 2000xl, but I really want the 60, because of the 12-bit sampler...Can someone please list me all the pros and cons of buying an mpc60? Also is 600 euros for it a reasonable price? I might seem like an idiot, but please help me out...

not sure I'd want to overlap those two just for the sound. get outboard effects if you want that, cuz the 12bit thing isn't as raw and in your face as an sp1200.

the thing I like the best about the 60 is the interface, so quick to get around on, no menus for menus for menus, or shift key functions like on the 2k

Ask yourself what you want o sound like. .?
What do you like. Clean and sharp, or Rough and crisp.

And they often sound dirtier than the MPC60 too. The MPC60 sounds pretty clean at the fixed sample rate of 40 kHz.

Yeah it does

do you want the sound for drums or samples, do you like long loops or stabs, do you have any problems using older software/hardware, I don't even think media is relevant man, if you sample on the xl and peak it a little bit too much with the level you can get gritty texture.

I think the sixty is dope, do you have patience to learn to only chop by numbers, with less memory...

I want a 3000 or an sp1200 although I'm more than happy with the xl, I don't need a thing, perhaps another preamp or a easier to use turntable but to be honest it doesn't mean a thing to me when it comes down to hitting those pads.
