Hello all! My screen functions properly, it is just very dim. I assume the backlights are not working.

I have replaced the LED strip twice:

Once without connecting wires that necessitated soldering and
A second time with a new LED strip that included wiring and connector ports

Any advice or other troubleshooting steps?

Attached are pictures of the machine, LED strips, and depiction of dim screen

Could be the backlight inverter is failing, they don't last forever. If you have a meter check the (AC) voltage on the backlight connector at the display, it should be around 150v - take care not to short circuit the connections when doing this.

Just go ahead and replace the old screen assembly with a clear and bright LED screen like in the bottom picture.
You'll thank me later.
