Being the owner of both the 3k and the Live i feel like being thrown back to the stone age where everything takes 50 times longer and for editing at least half the functions you have to stop sequence.
I do admit that the 3k sounds better and feels very tight.

Wonering how others feel about it and is it a discouragement?

Taking 10-20 minutes to chop and name a sample on the 3k vs. 30 seconds on the Live is a big deal and makes me realize that life is short and I wont live forever... :fku:

Sounds like you need both.If you love the sound/feel of the 3000 and the convenience of the x/live.But there is an easier way.Use the 3000 in conjunction with the software.
