MPC 3000 ghost in the machine

Hello guys,

I am new to the mpc world. I bought a 3000 LE 2 months ago. Started using it 3 days ago. Everything was fine until today, all of a sudden, the machine started playing and stopping by itself. Totally random.

Another guy already described the same problem, but no real answers. That is why i am asking it again.

The 3000 has O.S. 3.5.

I hope someone can help me. Thanks in advance!

That is random. Would say check RAM or maybe the MPC froze but who am I to say.

I just send you a pm via facebook ... but just to let you all know: i got my two mpc's fixed!

they had the same problem, as i posted it a while ago - http://www.mpc-forums.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=182870

my colleague dave found loose capacitors next to the os chips. this was easy to see for the first mpc because the faulty one was blown (C30) ... but a little tricky to identify on my second mpc (C27).

i hope this gives you some hope.
