QUICK QUESTIONS ABOUT THE 3000

IM CONSIDERING UPGRADING TO THIS FROM MY 60 JUST BASED ON THE BETTER SAMPLE RATES/MEMORY CAPACITY...

CAN I USE THE CABLE THAT COMES W THE ZIP DRIVE W THE 3000 OR DO I HAVE TO GET IT FROM SOME FAR AWAY PLACE?

DOES IT HAVE FEATURES SUCH AS TIMESTRETCH/CROOSFADE LOOPING/ETC?

MY 60 HAS OS 3.10 IS THERE A SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT BESIDES THE ABOVE THINGS I MENTIONED TO WARRANT AN UPGRADE TO THE 3000?

In my opinion you should just buy a 16 bits sampler .It really depends if you wanna stay in a " one box does everything configuration ".
I personaly just love my old Emu e64 ( 64 mo / 64 poly / 9go internal HD ) , it has sick filters and audio quality . That's a perfect combination with my 60 .Hope it helps !
by the way prices of emu samplers these days are a good reason too .

you wouldn't gain much with a 3000 except the filters and such. If you really don't like the 12 bit part then yes, a 3000 is for you, but even a cheap rack sampler will give you much more than the 3000 sampler has, and you already have the sequencing aspect down with the 60.

If the cable works on the 60, yes.

Crossfade looping and timestretch, no, no looping in fact (I think?)

I have samplers that can loop and I never do it, I just sequence them to repeat as if looped.
