Yes, that why I saying, that it may be your technique. Perhaps, you're a bit heavy handed, due to the Fat Pad. Try practicing double and triplets paraddidle and triple stroke roll. That will help with your speed and control.

Ah that is wonderful news as i have a spare set around here somewhere,strangely when the live was connected to the mini in of the 3000 i couldnt get it to double trigger (playing the 3000s pads).
