I like the conveniences of modern technology but I like the sound of the MPC60. I love the idea of sampling on to this device because of the color it gives the sound.
If I fully upgraded this thing with maximum ram and SCSI hd, zip or CF, Custom OS etc, How big of a difference will this actually make?
Will I be waiting 20 minutes to load a sample into memory?
What is the workflow like actually creating the beat and sampling into this machine? Will this feel like whiplash coming from modern devices or will the upgrades make enough of a difference that it is tolerable to make music on?
