Hey guys, this guy says you can hook up a 750 MB USB zip drive to a 3000 with a USB to SCSI adapter. Does anyone know if this is possible and works? Thanks.

Tell that guy that he is an idiot. Also, why would you even want to? The average cost of a USB to SCSI adapter can buy you 3 to 4 SCSI2SD card readers.

USB SCSI adapter easily go for $200-300, buying a SCSI2SD costs $75-80.

Be a man, do the right thing and stop it with these zip drives.

Won’t work mate.
Get a SCSI2SD like richie stated.

I read the transfer speed is slow on the MPC 3000. Is it the same for the MPC 60MKll?

Define slow. This gear is ancient in technical terms, you will likely feel it is slow.

No but considering you're only limited to 1.5mb of memory on the 60 and 32mb on the 3000, I'm not sure how much of a difference it should make to a human being if they wait 10 seconds or 13 seconds to load an entire beat over SCSI.
