MPC 3K - pads triggering other pads / double triggers

I’ve had my 3K for about 10 years now and I’m starting to get cases where hitting a pad will trigger the pad next to it, or will do strange double triggers

To fix this, is it the pad sensors that I should be replacing? I assume the pads themselves have nothing to do with this?
