mpc 60 broken - need help

this is omega from toronto, just broke my mpc 60. it wont power up, gets black squeares on it when i turn it on, ( the screen)
can anybody help me, point me int the right direction on this. i love my mpc and i can't live without it..booo boooo

serious thou any of u cats know where i could fix it, or maybe u had a similar problem?

What events led up to the failure (any upgrades, repairs etc)? I would open it up and check the obvious stuff... inspect for damaged parts,power supply voltages, fuses, etc.

ya i left it on all night, and next day my sound card had a loud noise coming out of it. it seems as if the sampler function was turned on all night but i don't recall using it. I know i was composing a drum loop and i had it playing, then i stopped it and left. When i came back the next day i noticed after taking apart my computer that it was actually the mpc that was making the noise. it was still on. then i turned it off and the screen was black with squares and its the last of it. Maybe it short circuited or something. I don't know much about that. Do you have the inner diagrams of the machine. I remeber seeing that somewhere but i don't recall where i found it.

power supploy failure due to overheating most likely. I'd guess the 5 volt line. take it to a repair shop. it isn't easy to fix that if you aren't experienced.

the black squares sound like the bios got erased. that means u have to prob send it out. i think the bios is what makes it run the floppy to boot. so replacing the os wont fix the bios. I had this problem with an akai dps12. i tried updating the os but i deleted it and when i would boot i would get the squares.
