I just bought mine and it looked fine at the store but in the studio I can barely see the thing without a light directly on it. Is this normal or do I need to take it back to the store? Thanks

did you try pressing the display contrast knob "IN"

that would bring up the backlight.

yeah pushing the knob in did bring it on but it's still very dim and fading on the edges. This is my first mpc 3000 as you can guess but I guess I can still take it back :?

humf...my 3000 has the old green screen...sure would be nice to have the blue one, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it....
