copy to>temp?

on the MPC 3000 ver 3.1, what do you do with a zone after you copy to temp? There doesn't seem to be any paste to new command or maybe I'm just blind.

Insert temp to zone start or zone end.

If you want it as a separate sample, sample a .1 second of nothing then paste the temp to the new sample, then delete the original .1.

When you say paste to new sample you select the .1 sample and then press ins>zone start, right? What do you mean by delete the original .1? When you insert the temp zone into the .1 it automatically becomes longer, right? TheThen you just save as a new sample? Thanks

yeah but you still have a .100 section of silence in the longer sample, it can be at the begining or end depending on whether you pasted to zone start or zone end, and where the zone was defined.

Do you use the 8 outs?I'm liking this machine sofar but it's a change from the 1000 y'know? Peace

8 outs is a must, but you'll need enough mixer channels, it's great to eq and add effects to individual sounds.

I record to nuendo on a PC.

the more you mess with it, the more you'll love it.

i use nuendo2 for everything its dope

Do you use an external mixe? Right now I'm using a mackie 1202 and I jusr have 2 outs to my computer.

I use the 4 sub outs from the mixer to a 4 input soundcard and do midi synced passes.
