edit sound volume

on my mpc 60 w/ os 3.1,

in the sound edit screen, the volume parameter goes all the way up to 200%, but whenever I turn it up past 100 it doesn't boost the level at all.

this can't be right, right?

has anyone else found the same thing?

The volume can´t be more than 100% = full volume, but if you set it to 200% and press "DRUM MIX" then press "Stereo out" and turn down the volume it doesn´t lower the volume as much as if you set it to 100% i think. I don´t have the 60 in front of me right now but i think this is how it works.
