Is the mpc 3000's sequencer a bit lazy when sequencing midi keyboards or is it just me?When i program a drum beat in the mpc 3000 then i sequence instruments playing midi keyboards the instruments i sequencing seem to be a little bit slower than the drum beats especially when i am playing fast string lines.Everybody other hip-hop producer that uses a 3000 doesn't have this problem because i've been listening to instrumentals lately and all their beats are on perfect timing.I'm not even using the mpc 3000 with my computer anymore because of the latency problems. Also a big problem in choosing the mpc 4000 is i heard the mpc 3000 is the best sounding mpc especially for drums. Can anybody confirm this?Has anybody heard the mpc 3000 beside a mpc 4000?Has anybody here? Please help me out on these questions please somebody that has used both the mpc 3000 and 4000 back to back. Thanks a lot!

sound is all a matter of taste, i wouldnt bother askin that kinda questions cuz you aint gonna get 1 solid answer its all preferance. im not a mpc 4k expert but i think they have a 24bit model that uses the akai z96 engine. so, 24bit vs the mpc 3k's 16 bit is the differance.

umm im not totally sure what your sayin but my sequencing on my mpc 3k is tight - no problems, does everything it should...

but i dont sequence midi keyboards lol :)

What quantize settings are you using (timing correct?) are you running any midi thru's? Do you have local turned off? What gear is lagging when sequenced?

Help us and we can help you.
