Hi all! Thinking about an internal CF card reader for my 3000. Is there a difference in sound quality from samples saved on CF card vs samples saved on Zip Disks? Thanks!

There is no sound quality difference as both a CF card and a Zip disk are storing data digitally.

No sound quality difference.

They are just mediums for file storage.

I have had better experience with CF cards than with zip disks. So if you are deciding between the two, I recommend CF cards. You can also buy CF card adapters that allow you to adapt a SD card or mini SD card to CF.

The cost per Gigabyte will be lower with CF cards because of this.

Zip disks are often limited to 100mb or 250mb. With a mini sd to sd to CF card adapter, you can get 128 gb for under $50.

man, i have heard people trying to sell mpcs with the floppy drive attempting to say it makes the samples sound better than saving to memory cards.... can't blame the guy for not being sure
