which sounds better, 60 or the 3000?

Whats up everybody. I'm new here, and I did a search on this topic, things did come up, but not to my question on the sound difference. I am just wondering which would be better to get, (if money was not an option). I know how the 60 sounds, and I love that gritty old school feel, but I hear people on here talking about how the 3000 sounds punchy too. Which do you guys think (in your honest opinion) sounds better? Or is there even a difference? Thanks in advance.

3000. filters, effects. plus still punchy and crackin like a 60. they sound pretty much the same.

i dont know where people get that the 60 is "gritty old school," it sounds pretty up to date to me. clean if you sample of a cd, gritty if you sample a fuced up piece of vinyl.

There is a difference..The 60 is 12bit thus giving it that gritty sound. No matter what you sample from, you will hear an obvious difference. The 3000 is 16bit, cd quality. I dont know if there is such thing as one is better than the other, it depends on what kind of tracks your looking to create. I have the 3000le and a 950. So if I want the 12bit crunch I sample with the 950 and sequence with the 3000. In the end, the quality of your samples whelther is punchy or gritty or clear, depends on how you sample it. How your sampling is just as important what your using to sample..
