My apologies if this is the wrong place to post a thread like this but I just wanted to see if someone could give me quick step-by-step instructions explaining how I can confirm that my MPC 3000 is in normal working condition prior to me listing it for sale. I know pretty much nothing about these machines but I now own one as a result of finding it within an abandoned storage locker that I purchased at auction. Other than missing one of the cosmetic adjustment knobs (the 'RECORD LEVEL' knob) it seems to be a complete unit that is in pretty good shape considering its age. I have plugged it in and it turns right on without any issues, going first to a brief introduction screen and then to a menu-type screen that I will include an image of below. I just need to know what to do from here to verify that everything is working as it should be so that I can confidently state that it is in working condition when I go to sell it, as I am sure this will make a big difference on the price I end up getting for it. Any assistance you can offer me would be greatly appreciated!

Possibly the most well written post I've ever seen on here.
But I don't have a 3k, can't really help you. My 2k has some screens to check how well the pads work but not anything else as far as I'm aware, and the 3k is even older than that. Maybe you can look up the pdf of the manual online and search for some keywords like "pad test" or something.
I am sure someone more experienced will come along in a bit though. :-D

It’s probably easiest to get some MPC 3000 user in your area to test it for you. You would need to test all pads, buttons, switches, dials and all input/output on the back. This means MIDI and audio and sampling for example. If you don’t know what all this is then it will take a while to figure out.
