I must have spent about 40 hours looking for a solution.

Ended up using Parallels on my gfs macbook and then the Awave demo to try it out.

It works well but is an impractical workaround for everyday "go to" use.

I'm at a loss at this point.

Weirdly, searching "snd" on this forum brings up zero hits.

three letter words are ignored by the search function, too intensive for the database.

Chicken sys translator could be used to convert to SND, pricey to buy just for that though, and I found the actual MPC conversions leave a lot to be desired IMO, especially new-to-old, I gave up in the end, life's too short to be continually reporting bugs. YYMV

Alternatively, just install parallels on your Mac, if you prefer you can just have it opened in the background like any other app. I use various Windows-only apps this way, although I think you'll probably need an Intel Mac for this.

I use a program called CrossOver to run MPC Editor and it works really well.

I also use Switch

https://www.nch.com.au/switch/index.html

Which is great to ensure all WAVs are converted to correct sample rate 44100 Hz / 16 Bit

It took me a really long time to figure out - but I've found its the best - I can completely setup my pads the way I want them.
