OS 3.11 boot or chips?

I bought the external micro SD card reader for the MPC 3000, which only works with OS 3.11.

I’m running OS 3.10

So do I have to boot OS 3.11 from a floppy disk, and then connect the micro SD card reader? Or do I need to install the OS 3.11 EPROM chips? Is it possible to do either?

Is it like if I boot 3.11 from floppy, I have to do that every time I turn on the 3k? For the SCSI SD card reader to then be recognized? I guess I could keep the floppy in at all times? My floppy disk drive works.

But if I install the 3.11 eprom chips it boots up auto every time?

Also when it says something works with 3.11, do they mean 3.11 only or 3.11 and higher? I suppose I have to ask MPC Stuff about that.
