Just wondering does anyone know if the return in on the mpc60 turn sounds to 12bit? Like if I hook up my mpc2000 stereo out to the return in on my 60 then if I record my mpc60s stereo out and have the 2000 running though the 60 will that convert the 2000 to 12bit?

No, not at all as no actual digital conversion is taking place when running into the return or record in.

You will need to first sample into the 60, and sample it back into your 2000 to accomplish your goal.

Are you sure because I sampled a chop into my 2000 off my turntable then I sampled the exact same chop into my 60 also from the same turn table and it sounded identical thru the return in but it sounded slightly different with the speakers hooked up to the 2000.

how do you overdrive the audio?
