I"m wondering if anyone uses an external display/monitor with their MPC 3000 using the scsi port. When I bought my MPC, the guy had an old scsi crt display that was about 9" that he used but I expect these days I could use one of the small LCD displays with maybe a SCSI to usb adapter. Does anyone do this or have any suggestions which products to use?

thank you!

You couldn't have seen the MPC3000 connected to a scsi monitor because there are no scsi monitors and even if there was the MPC3000 can't send the display over scsi.
It does have an optional vga port that connects to a VGA monitor with a standard VGA cable.
Sounds like you have the VGA card installed. If you don't already have one you can get old vga monitors cheap and sometimes for free. People often dump them when they upgrade computers.
If you want to connect to a newer monitor you'll likely need a vga adapter.

From the manual-
The IB-CRT video option allows a video monitor to be connected to
the MPC3000, displaying the exact contents of the LCD screen at all
times. This provides an easy way to view SMPTE and bar.beat
location from across a room. The option adds a standard VGA video
output connector to the rear panel of the MPC3000 to which a
standard VGA monitor can be connected
