Autoload of floppy disks?

I have a gotek drive that came with my MPC, never figured it out, and it doesn't even come up as a drive on my MPC, I've flipped the ribbon cable to the drive and everything. I don't know what I'm doing wrong but tbh, my hatred for Zip Disks makes me want to just put a regular floppy drive in. I have a Drumulator, and I really enjoy being able to turn it on and quickly have sounds to play. I know floppy is slow on the 60, but my main question is, can it Autoload a floppy disk with sounds and params? It would be great, since I really only use the 60 as a drum machine and reuse the same sounds all the time.

Switch on the MPC. Press "Disk" and then "9".
In the " Disk: " field select "Floppy Drive " and hit " soft key 1 "
You have now set the Gotek floppy emulator to be the drive your MPC will use.
Save some sounds to one of the floppy disk images on your USB stick. Now when you have that floppy image selected it will automatically load the sounds on it when you turn on the MPC.
If you have settings you want reloaded and don't have a working battery in your MPC then save a Program file on the same floppy disk image. If your on an older OS it's called a set file instead of program.
On os3 it's "disk" and "6" , name the file and then "soft key 1 " to save it.

Very cool. I sort of still want to replace the Gotten with a Floppy Drive, considering I could just have a case of disks of different classic drum machine sounds, and knowing the disk I have in the drive would just autoload would be great. I have no qualms with floppies aside from them often dying/getting corrupted. The gotek thing has always seemed like something I really wouldn't like anyway, I'm not a fan of rifling through multiple partitions off of one disk. One of the reasons I really get annoyed with Zip disks
