Share your knowledge on these two classic MPCs

To all,

I have a MPC 60 fully pimped out and expanded hardware wise and
software wise.
I have three questions that I would love some help with if possible:

1) I sequence my drums and samples on the MPC but, for portability
purposes there are times when I have the need to dump the midi into
Logic Audio. Is there a way to dump my midi data or record the midi
Data being played from the MPC into Logic Audio? I currently use MTC
to sync Logic with the MPC.

2) I find that on certain samples, mostly my kick drum samples when I
hit the pad hard my drums splatter. It's kind of hard to explain but
basically at harder velocities my kick drums completely either
splatter or they get this hard slap sound on them. Now most of my
sounds are sounds that were samples on another unit and imported into
the MPC. I don't know if this is relevant. This is driving me crazy
though because I constantly have to go back and lower the velocity on
my kicks to keep them from splattering.

3) Is there any way for me to make volume changes from my PC on the
MPC? I would like to be able to control the MPC's volume from Logic
Audio. I am able to control the MPC's velocity but it's not per track.
It's the
overall velocity output. I need to be able to control each tracks
volume.

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks,

Yusef

1) Set the channel to midi and hit record...I'm using PT6 LE and to add some spice to my drums, i record the midi first, switch some notes around, take some out, and re-record the new audio. Now I can bring both the midi notes and audio anywhere.

2) Have you tried trouble shooting, like recording a hot kick directly into your MPC??? This can help you determine whats wrong. Doesnt sound good though.

3)I dunno. =) Are you saying when you alter the velocity notes on Logic and play them back on the MPC it doesnt register???

peace.

2) Actualy I have tried that but, I need to do it again. Most of the sounds I've been working with lately, I sampled from my layla and cut up in Sounf Forge then saved as a .snd. I suspect and hope the file conversion is the issue.

3) I can change the overall velocity coming out of the mpc but, I can't change the volume of the samples. When I create my drum tracks using logics sequencer I do have to use midi channels on the drum tracks. When I do it on the mpc I just keep them as drum tracks. I'd liek to be able to change the volume of the samples remotely via midi.

I dont think the .SND format in Sound Forge is the same as the MPC .SND format. You should convert them with a program like that MPC EDITOR (or
ADISK?)
