yoski, I'm about to make a track where I would like a little drum roll on the second snare and would like to know if there is something I'm missing that would make this easier?

right now the only thing I can see would be to do, 16 levels and just try to tap the lower and lower levels before the full level snare which sounds tedious...holler :)

note repeat.. you can still vary the velocity with it

I heard Lord Finesse had a dope tip for doing drum rolls....I forget what it was though. You could hold down the pad and make the sound stutter. Is that what you're referring to? I think it had something to do with holding down the TAP button and the sample pad.

Naw, on the 60 it's the Timing correct button that you hold for rolls.

The best rolls (most realistic) you can get are turning the timing off - but for more of those computerized roll just hold down note repeat like everybody said. Play with the velocity and decay to get it sounding a little better. Remeber if it doesnt sound the way you want, change the timing on the track. Playing around in triplets will get you some dope roll effects.

the best rolls i came up with is place 2 snares on the pads next to eachover, and when ur main snare hits in the beat, hit the first sanre befroe it and the second snare after it.

i mean like have a drum pattern allready made up, and then when the snare hits right before and after it hit the 2 diffsnares at less velocity. it will give a rapid 3 hit
