can anyone tell me wy i should get the mpc60 instead of the 2000?
appart from the obvious, which is the delightfull sound.

Can you get an fx board or filter unit for the mpc60?
Why is it so god damn special? (again, not the sound)

Best thing to do would be to read the archives, but better than that, look through the 3.10 manual.

No one can tell you which MPC you Should go for, it's something you work out, by the sound of it I think you would be happy with the 2000, but if you are curious about the 60, check the 3.10 manual.

-pads are on the correct side.
-It looks like a tank-built for studio producers not for bedroom producers(like me). Basically, built great.
-doesn't need them paintjobs, it looks too dope to f*ck with that color scheme
-with the 3.10, working is so easy, easier than breathing.
But I never f*cked with a 2000, the 2000 has its upside's too, I just don't know them. But I would pick a 2000 over a 1000, but thats just me.
I've had my 60(2) for almost 2 years now, love that machine.

Get an Akai s950 or another 12 bit sampler. It's cheaper.

yeah, no fx board for the 60, get a 950 and be done.

get the 2000xl for sequencing and get an s950 for that 12bit grit sound...

also, devote some time to learing midi and both machines in and out...

good luck and Peace!
