2000xl user now a 3000 user...question

im now using the 3000 what I want to know is if im choping up a sample do I need to copy the sample a bunch of times or is there a way to truncate the parts of the sample and create a new file like the 2000 did with the "section new sound" option

unfortunately, you have to copy the file and truncate or sample an empty sound and copy zone then paste. its tedious but once you get used to it, itll be quick

what do you mean by copy to the zone then paste? when I do that I cant move the zone anywhere else

oops i meant copy zone to temp from the original sound, then onto the empty sample
